Big Canoe Serves is pleased to announce our next Day of Service for our Jasper neighbors.
Burnt Mountain Center (BMC) has provided 50+ years of service to the citizens of North Georgia since its establishment in 1973. BMC is very pleased with its track record in the provision of quality services to individuals with developmental disabilities and to their families.
Please join us on April 23rd at 9:00 AM at the Burnt Mountain Center (BMC) for an exterior spruce-up. We are looking for volunteers to help with raking, planting, and mulching the grounds. This is our third time supporting the community center, and the facility continues to improve thanks to your hard work.
On April 16th (9:00 AM) we will have a volunteer team do some prep work to facilitate the work on the 23rd. This could involve prep of surfaces to be painted, staging of materials, etc.
Project Scope:
Prune and trim perimeter shrubs
Remove leaves and winter debris
Refresh beds with existing on-site mulch
Plant shrubs/flowers at the entrance, monument sign, and side beds
Prep raised bed for a vegetable garden (weed and fertilizer)
Repair and repaint monument sign
Repaint picnic benches in the side garden
